The Centre for Industry Education Collaboration (CIEC) promotes excellence in primary science teaching and learning, increasing awareness of STEM industries, careers, and sustainable practices, through visible links between classroom science and its application in industry.
We create relationships between schools and industry. Our expertise can help you increase the number of children considering a future within your industry. We offer a range of tailored approaches to work with schools, supporting your ESG and community outreach goals.
Our Children Challenging Industry programme sees advisory teachers, funded by local industry, train STEM professionals to deliver effective site visits, following delivery of science lessons to children aged 9 – 11, and provision of professional development (15,000 teachers to date). We have successfully trained over 1,200 STEM professionals from industry to offer site visits to 60,000 children from over 2,000 schools.
