Bright spark Chris Rutherford, who works for Northern Engineering Solutions, recently passed the ECITB ReSkill Pipefitter course – an innovative five-week training programme designed to create opportunities through skills transferability in the Engineering Construction Industry. Delivered by 3T Training Services, the course covered aspects including assembling pipework components, testing the integrity and condition of installed pipework, and identifying and dealing with hazards in a work environment.
In addition to this programme, Mr Rutherford completed the ECITB ReSkill Welder qualification earlier this year. He joined Northern Engineering Solutions in December 2022 after 12 years as a Facilities Operative for CBRE in County Durham.
Speaking about the recent training, he said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to learn new technical skills through this course and to apply them immediately upon my return to the workplace. I’d like to thank Northern Engineering Solutions for continuing to support my career progression.”
