As part of Net Zero in Teesside, bp will work with 22 primary schools in the region by July 2023. bp has invited their partners in the region to join their CCI training session next month, and virtual visits into schools will begin in Spring 2023.
Thanks to funding from the Institution of Engineering and Technology, they are now able to expand their partnership with CATCH, who have been hosting their advisory teacher in the Humber since 2020. This funding will enable CIEC to train apprentices to take children around the CATCH facility, once a brand new tour has been devised, with help from CIEC’s advisory teacher, Melanie Boyeson. Training for CATCH staff and apprentices will take place in December, with visits beginning next year to the site.
Tronox will open its doors to its first primary school visitors next month, and CIEC wish them all the best with their very first visit to their site, following training earlier this year.
