This FREE event is ideal for owners and product development managers in both start-ups and established companies within the North East who have an innovative product or manufacturing process idea and require some support with developing materials or upscaling their manufacturing processes.
CPI are delighted to host an innovation showcase to allow SME’s in the region to explore the resources that CPI has to offer through European Regional Development Funding (ERDF) in order to develop new products and processes.
The day is divided in to two parts. The morning will explore some of the work that has been undertaken recently to help SME’s develop new products through the ESM (Engineered Surface Materials), a project focusing on materials coating.
The afternoon will see the launch of a new funding opportunity in product development through the IMPACT (Innovative Materials via Precision Additive Coating Technologies) project focusing on Additive Manufacturing, just one of several funded projects available that give SME’s direct access to the scientists and equipment at CPI.
This project accesses the capabilities of our Formulation and Printable Electronics teams.
You will hear from keynote speaker Richard Halstead from EEF, The Manufacturers’ Organisation. There will be the opportunity to participate in a tour of the CPI laboratories and to talk to some of our research scientists.
We will also be hosting a market place of local business support services that can be accessed as well as general networking over the break and lunch periods.
You are welcome to attend all or part of the day. Lunch will be provided.
