Read more >We are delighted to be welcoming James Roberts into the FEG Global team, he is a brilliant addition to our workforce with great career prospects.
What is your background and what was your path to FEG?
I started as an apprentice in a machine shop on manual machines such as lathes and
milling. I continued to progress after moving towards CNC machinery and then into product and machine design. Finally, I secured a role in project engineering specifically in bespoke production machines and tools. I enjoy being involved in projects from start to finish – concept, design, and manufacture. My pathway in education has supported my career goals, I have achieved an engineering diploma, extended diploma and HNC.
What makes FEG the right fit for you?
I knew I wanted to pursue a career in project engineering and I was looking for that next step – bigger projects, bigger clients. FEG is perfect for this. The challenges and problem-
solving that you come up against allow you to develop further as an engineer every day.
FEG have a cross-sector customer base, so no two projects are the same, which is exciting.
“The team have been great, it’s an excellent environment to work in as there’s a great flow of communication from every level. Everyone is open to conversation and willing to help each other where they can, no one is left to create solutions on their own. Everyone collaborates and offers their expertise on each project.” James Roberts, Project Technician
What are you looking forward to achieving at FEG?
We have so many great projects happening across different client sectors and in various
international locations. It’s great to be part of a team that can make a real difference to
business operations. I’m genuinely looking forward to delivering for the people we are
working with.
“We’re delighted to welcome James into the FEG Global family. He has already fitted well
into the team and provided valuable input on current projects and we look forward to many more.” Chris Williams, Managing Director
