Winner: Projex Solutions

Beneficiary School: Acklam Whim Primary School

This years’ engineering firm of the year, Projex Solutions, have put apprenticeships at the forefront of their business – evolving their apprenticeship offer and providing a number of different apprenticeships and training options for its employees.

Showcasing that apprenticeships are important, Projex Solutions have massively developed their apprenticeship offering in 2021. Evolving from traditional Level 3 Engineering apprenticeship programmes, into a fully-fledged business solution – offering Level 3 up to Level 7 apprenticeships across various disciplines including engineering and project management.

Not only putting apprentices first, but the firm also offer graduate programmes within the company, something of which is key to advancing opportunities in engineering and establishing a successful environment in which graduates, and apprentices can thrive.

Projex solutions have also found innovative solutions to support clients in solving their in-house problems, amongst growing the business and developing a credible apprenticeship programme.

Conducting an innovative, multi skilled project for a UK Chemical Manufacturer, the Projex Solutions team, assisted them in engineering support – designing, building, and commissioning a specialty chemical processing plant. They have also developed a new product offering for this client, allowing them to tap into new markets.

The growth Projex has seen over the past year is second to none – increasing both staff growth and project acquisition in both areas and has seen the business grow to 31 staff members.
