Apprentice of the Year Awards


The Apprentice of the Year Awards 2022 – entries for this category have now closed.


NEPIC are continually seeking to promote the industry as a career choice for those leaving school, and the apprenticeship route as a training option. Through the Apprentice Awards, we seek to recognise and celebrate the region’s brightest young apprentice talent from within the process sector and its supply chain.

The Apprentice Awards are open to all apprentices of NEPIC member companies. Three winners will be selected – two from the process related apprenticeship and one from support service apprenticeship – and presented with a trophy and cheque for £1,000 marking their achievements at the NEPIC Industry Awards Dinner held at Hardwick Hall on the evening of Friday 25 March 2022


Award Criteria

Applicants, who are either currently undertaking an apprenticeship, or completed their programme in the year 2020, should write an article of no more than 750 words and should include an outline of their apprenticeship to date; a demonstration of academic success and on the job skills; as well as clearly stating their understanding of the sector – detailing any extra curriculum achievements relevant to this application.


How to enter

Entries should be submitted electronically, clearly stating your name and the category in which you are applying for on the top of the document. Entries should include a completed application form, recent photograph and a manager’s statement in support of your application.
