Helen has sat on our board since 2022 and is the business solutions director at the Tees Valley Combined Authority, with a remit covering business support and investment for business of all sizes and sectors and the development of education, employment and skills, Net Zero and creative place across the Tees Valley.

Previously, Helen has worked around the country in a range of roles covering IT, facilities management, planning, housing, economic development, customer services and criminal justice reform in both local and central government.

Her earlier experience was gained in engineering and marketing in the private sector, including as a process control engineer at British Steel on Teesside. Helen is a chartered engineer and member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
