Dai was appointed chair of our board in 2024 and is an original founding director of NEPIC. He has over 40 years in industry and was previously CEO of Micropore Technologies in which time he led the transition from a lab-based technology business to a growing global company.

Dai has a degree in chemistry and physiology and is a Fellow of the UK’s Royal Society of Chemistry. Throughout his career in performance chemicals and related businesses, he has worked across the world including the UK, Middle East and USA.

He is past chairman of the Chemical Industries Association’s Responsible Care Board and Specialised Organic Chemicals Sector Association, and has even been awarded an MBE for services to exports and the North East chemical industry.
