Shimadzu’s ALTRACE EDXRF spectrometer offers lab managers high-sensitivity, low-prep elemental analysis with automated throughput and sub-ppm detection.
Shimadzu has introduced its latest energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) solution, the ALTRACE spectrometer. Built for high-throughput environments, the ALTRACE provides accurate trace element detection from sodium to uranium using a high-energy 65 kV X-ray tube and proprietary high-count rate detector.
Reducing Workload While Improving Sensitivity
This new system significantly reduces the workload for lab managers and analysts by minimising sample preparation. ALTRACE accommodates liquid, solid, and powder samples, eliminating the need for time-consuming digestion steps typical of AAS or ICP-OES methods.
Key benefits include:
According to Shimadzu, eliminating the sample digestion process lowers costs and simplifies screening, while enabling precision analysis using the same sample.
