Through the Apprentice Awards, we aim to recognise and celebrate the region’s most talented young apprentices within the process sector and its supply chain. Entries are open to individuals who are either currently undertaking an apprenticeship or have completed their programme in 2025.

Judges are looking for exemplar employers who showcase the measurable benefits that apprentices have provided and showcase the benefits gained by developing their workforce through apprenticeship schemes. The judges will also be looking for examples of best practice and the support put in place to help the development of apprentices within the workplace.

The SME of the Year Award will be presented to the small-medium sized company that can best demonstrate a successful approach to developing their sales to the process sector.Tell us about your journey – we want to hear how you cracked the process sector! Primary School Environmental Award – Download application form here
The objective of the School Environmental Award is to encourage environmental awareness & action of pupils by exploring & suggesting an environmentally themed project that could be delivered with the prize money from the award.
How to enter in 3 easy steps!
1. A teacher suggests an environmentally themed project for a group of children, a whole class or the whole school (up to 11 years old).
2. The teacher writes a short description of the project idea and a rough breakdown of how the £2000 prize fund would be spent.
3. Submit the application to NEPIC – maximum of 400 words. Additional creative information in the form of photos, videos, children’s work may also be included. -

The NEPIC Outstanding Contribution Award stand as one of the highest honours within the North East of England Process Industry Cluster (NEPIC), recognising individuals that have made transformative contributions to the sector. This award serves not only as a celebration of achievement, but also as an inspiration for ongoing excellence, innovation, and leadership in the chemical-processing industries.Nominations for the NEPIC Outstanding Contribution Awards can be made by peers, employers or industry partners. The process is designed to be transparent and inclusive, allowing anyone within the cluster to put forward deserving candidates.
The closing date for all entries has been extended to 31 December 2025. All forms should be sent to awards@nepic.co.uk.
