We are delighted to welcome Karen Woodland to NEPIC as our new lead account manager. In this role, Karen oversees the account management team while also engaging with members to fully understand and maximise the value of their NEPIC membership. From sharing knowledge across the network to connecting members with the right opportunities and support, Karen is passionate about helping businesses thrive.
Karen brings more than 15 years of experience in the education sector, having held several senior leadership roles. Most recently, she worked at the Tees Valley Combined Authority, supporting Net Zero initiatives across the region. Prior to that, she was associate director for adult and community learning at Middlesbrough College where she led programmes focused on upskilling adults through level 3+ qualifications. Working closely with businesses, Karen helped organisations reskill their workforce in areas such as renewable energy, while leading a growing team in a fast-paced environment.
Karen was drawn to NEPIC by its impact across the North East and recognised the vital role NEPIC plays in driving collaboration across the region’s processing sector. Speaking about her new role, Karen said: “I’m passionate about supporting businesses and making a real difference in the North East. NEPIC has an outstanding reputation for bringing organisations together and creating opportunities for collaboration and growth. I’m excited to work closely with our members, ensuring they’re making the most of everything NEPIC has to offer while helping to strengthen connections across the network.”
Since joining, Karen has been actively involved in member engagement, working closely with the NEPIC members to understand their needs and connect them with the right people and opportunities.
Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time at the beach with her two dogs, Gary and Wilson and keeping active at the gym.
If you’re a NEPIC member looking for support or would like to explore how to get more involved, Karen would love to hear from you at karen.woodland@nepic.co.uk.
