Meet Jane Thompson, account manager at NEPIC

We are excited to welcome Jane Thompson to the NEPIC team as our account manager. In this role, Jane is focused on ensuring members receive the support they need to get the most out of their NEPIC membership. Whether it’s answering queries, offering guidance or helping members build new connections, Jane is on hand to help companies unlock the full value of being part of the cluster.

Jane brings a strong foundation of experience from across the education, training and public sectors. Before joining NEPIC, Jane spent nine years at TTE Technical in a variety of roles, including employer engagement and working with apprenticeships, where she developed a deep understanding of the skills needs within the chemical and process industries. Before that, she worked in local government for over a decade and has also supported individuals through careers advice and guidance roles. Jane thrives on making a difference and supporting others to succeed, her passion for helping people is evident throughout her career.

Jane was first introduced to NEPIC during her time at TTE. She saw the opportunity to return to a familiar sector and continue making a positive impact by helping members navigate opportunities, events and partnerships.

Speaking about her new role, Jane said: “I’ve always loved roles where I can help people and this job allows me to support businesses in a really practical way. I’ve known about NEPIC for a long time and admired the work they do, so to now be part of that is exciting. I’m looking forward to getting to know our members, to understand their needs and help them make the most of everything NEPIC has to offer.”

Outside of her role at NEPIC, Jane also dedicates her time to supporting education in her community and she has been chair of governors at a primary school for a number of years. Her involvement has not only made a difference to the school and its pupils but has also given Jane a great sense of pride and confidence.
