Meet Daniel Shenton, pharmaceutical account manager at NEPIC

We are delighted to welcome Daniel Shenton to the NEPIC team as our new pharmaceutical account manager. In this role, Daniel provides a dedicated point of contact for NEPIC members operating within the pharmaceutical sector.

Daniel brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to the position. Before joining NEPIC, he spent nine years at FujiFilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, a valued NEPIC member, where he worked in manufacturing. This hands-on experience has provided him with a deep understanding of the operational challenges as well as opportunities within the pharmaceutical space. His background gives him a practical insight into the sector, making him a valuable resource for members looking to connect, collaborate or navigate the complexities of the industry.

In addition to supporting member engagement, Daniel also leads and supports NEPIC’s Pharma Connect events. He is currently organising the next Pharma Connect event, which will take place on the 4th of September. He is looking forward to welcoming both familiar and new faces from across the industry. You can book the event here: https://www.nepic.co.uk/event/pharma-connect/

Daniel’s role is funded through a programme supported by the North of Tyne Combined Authority (NECA). This funding enables NEPIC to deliver a series of initiatives designed to benefit pharmaceutical organisations based north of the Tyne. Daniel is leading the project’s delivery and coordinating the events and engagements. As well as leading on and supporting NEPIC members who have a direct link or interest in understanding the pharmaceutical sector across the wider North East region.

Speaking about his new role, Daniel said: “With my previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry, I was already aware of NEPIC and the work it does to support businesses in the region. When the opportunity arose to join the team, I was excited by the idea of continuing to contribute to the sector whilst also helping others grow and succeed. It’s a great chance to apply the knowledge I’ve gained over the years in a new and rewarding way.”

If you’re a pharmaceutical organisation looking to connect, collaborate or learn more about upcoming opportunities, Daniel would be happy to hear from you, daniel.shenton@nepic.co.uk.
