This quarter, we will be joined by:
Recent important documents published propose an exciting vision for Medicines in the UK and are being driven by Government, Academia and Industry. A key element of this is improving productivity in the UK through making and supplying optimised medicines that are of high quality, manufactured economically and delivered quickly. A key driver for this are digital technologies such as smart labels, track and trace and connected medicines. In this presentation CPI will present how it is helping to meet this need by assisting companies to innovate and scale up in the area of smart and connected packaging, which includes smart labels for track and trace and environmental monitoring. There will be an overview of relevant projects that CPI has been involved in as well as a discussion of future opportunities to innovate in this space.
CPI’s National Formulation Centre is developing capability to help pharma companies better understand how to develop, scale up and optimise processes in order to de-risk the development of new technologies and reduce time to market. Our activities focus on two key areas; nanoparticle development and scale-up, and understanding and control of continuous wet granulation processes using sensor technologies for oral solid dosage forms.
CPI’s National Biologics Manufacturing Centre will present work that has been done with industry vendors, linking their technology into the supply chain and the benefits of this. Current topics of interest (and that we’re allowed to talk about) involve Purolite and other projects involving academia, SMEs and large pharma (for example UCB), but more may be added between now and July.
Relay have developed a new and highly effective way of capturing and handing over skills. It combines current training best practices, as adopted by Nissan and others, with richer multimedia and the latest thinking on the brain and how we learn.
