The Joint Industry Project (JIP), led by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and EEMUA, is tackling one of the most critical challenges facing today’s process industries: how to transform asset integrity management using risk-based methodologies, digital technologies, non-invasive inspection techniques, and more effective turnaround strategies.
Supported by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), TÜV Rheinland, and leading UK chemical operators, this programme aims to elevate mechanical integrity capability across the industry—helping organisations enhance safety, reliability, operational performance, and asset availability.
This in-person event, hosted at TÜV Rheinland offices, offers a valuable opportunity to engage directly with industry experts and peers.
Following a short introduction from Alan D’Ambrogio, an expert panel including representatives from the UK Health & Safety Executive and Syngenta will:
- Share the objectives, scope, and planned deliverables of the JIP, including the development of a standardised Asset Integrity Transformation Framework
- Explore key performance and value gaps across UK operators in mechanical integrity, inspection practices, and turnaround optimisation
- Provide practical insights into how enhanced integrity strategies can reduce intrusive inspections, optimise turnaround duration and cost, and improve plant safety and uptime
- Highlight opportunities for organisations to get involved and realise direct value from participation in the programme
- Take part in a live Q&A session with attendees
