Public Affairs and Government Engagement Programme
Working directly to the Chief Executive and the company board, a full public affairs and government engagement programme was developed. CPI is a leading independent technology innovation centre established in 2004.
Over a period of a year activity involved direct meetings with Ministers and key civil servants, engagement with government agencies and leading industrialists, and work was developed by the CPI team on the framework for the High Value Manufacturing Catapult.
Work involved intensive lobbying and key engagement across Government, industry and academia. Consistency of message was important as was the ability to influence and inform public policy development. This was a concerted programme of activity which resulted in CPI being a major contributor to the establishment of the Governments CATAPULT programme and culminated in CPI becoming a founding member of the UK Government’s High Value Manufacturing Catapult, securing significant government investment into the business and ensuring the CPI are positioned as the centre for Process innovation across a number of key sectors including Biologics, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Processing, Formulation, Photonics and Printed Electronics.
I have now worked with Nick for over 10 years.
