EDF - Hartlepool Power Station

EDF is helping Britain achieve Net Zero by leading the transition to a cleaner, low emission, electric future and tackling climate change. It is the UK’s largest producer of low-carbon electricity and supplies millions of customers with electricity and gas. EDF is one of the largest suppliers to British business and a leading supplier of innovative energy solutions that are helping businesses become more energy independent. It employs around 13,000 people across the country and operates nuclear and renewable sites, along with a Contact Centre in the North East.

Around 750 staff are employed at the nuclear power station near Hartlepool, on the north east coast of England. It is capable of supplying electricity to around two million UK homes and in 2022 the energy EDF generated avoided 2.7m tonnes of CO2 emissions – the equivalent of taking 1.3m cars off UK roads for a year.
