Originally from Leicestershire, I moved to the North East to work as the Production Manager for Glaxo at their large scale Penicillin production facility near Blyth.

I am a Biochemical Engineer and have extensive experience in the use of biotechnology for pharmaceutical manufacturing.

My many years of experience include time at the Centre of Excellence for Life Sciences (CELS) where I assisted companies and Universities to exploit biotechnology, particularly the commercialisation of stem cell science.

I have performed Business Development roles for a number of SMEs and international project management in California, leading a project to produce biopharmaceutical clinical trial material. I currently hold a number of non-executive board positions with regional SMEs.

I joined NEPIC in 2012 to help deliver the BASME SME assistance programme and have enjoyed helping SMEs sell into the process sector with the invaluable help of our diverse membership.

I am a keen advocate of innovation and enjoy making connections and sign posting between companies and our regional universities.
