As we approach the end of the year, everyone at the CIEC would like to thank NEPIC and all NEPIC members who continue to offer a huge amount of support to our Children Challenging Industry Programme. Creating opportunities for primary school children to engage with local STEM companies – site visits, ambassador sessions in schools, virtual industry visits – helps local children to make meaningful connections between their classroom science and ‘real world’ jobs. We would like to give extra thanks to Alpek Polyester for hosting our regional advisory committee meeting last month, and to px Group who hosted us in June. The committee thoroughly enjoyed the site tour at Alpek; led by a wonderful chemical engineer, Harry, who also guides children around the site on CCI visits. We couldn’t achieve our amazing outcomes without your continued support – thank you.
