WEBINAR: Bilfinger UK – GW Electrolysis on Energy Islands

Bilfinger Tebodin has taken steps in order to realise this potential by participating in the research program North Sea Energy.

On February 9th, from 10.00 – 11.00 a.m. (UK time), Keren Rajavelu, Process Engineer at Bilfinger Tebodin, will speak about our involvement as concept engineers in this program and how we explored the technical/economic feasibility of designing 2, 5 and 20 GW hydrogen islands during a free webinar from the Energy Institute.

Main objectives of the study include:

  • Analysis on water electrolysis (such as alkaline, PEM, SOFC)
  • Feasibility study/ Conceptual design of electrolysis in the Island
  • Techno economic assessment and business case scenario for offshore/onshore hydrogen production
  • Desalination layout
  • 3D model development of hydrogen Island
  • Environmental and legal analysis
  • Due diligence
  • Engineering challenges in P2G (P2G) facility integration
