Pay: £25,000.00 – £30,000.00 per year

As part of our team, you’ll play a key role in supporting marketing and events that bring our members together and showcase the region’s industrial strengths.

The Purpose of this Role:

Reporting directly to NEPIC’s CEO, the Membership Account Manager will liaise directly with specified member contacts, establishing touch points to ensure they gain the most from their membership journey. Working across industry sectors with companies, building lasting relationships that allow us to identify opportunities and facilitate connections, via networking, marketing, events and signposting.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A background in account management, sales, customer service or business development.
  • Highly developed data processing and analytical skills.
  • The ability to liaise with a range of different companies and stakeholders.
  • The skills and knowledge required to bring on board new business through new and existing channels.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the confidence to prepare and deliver regular reports and presentations.
  • A good understanding of the business landscape in the North East Region.
  • The ability to plan and organise events where needed.
  • Possess a full UK driving licence.

Desirables:

  • An understanding of the Process Sector in North East England.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Events & Marketing Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event management, marketing and communications within a professional membership organisation. You will help deliver high-quality events and campaigns that engage our members and promote NEPIC’s activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and delivering NEPIC events, including conferences, networking sessions, and member engagement activities.
  • Liaise with venues, suppliers, and members to ensure smooth event coordination.
  • Provide administrative support, including managing member databases and tracking event attendance.
  • Support the creation and scheduling of content for NEPIC’s social media channels and email newsletters.
  • Help maintain and update the NEPIC website with event listings, news, and member resources.
  • Conduct research to identify industry trends and opportunities for member engagement.
  • Assist in producing marketing materials and promotional campaigns for NEPIC initiatives.

Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Creative mindset with an interest in events and marketing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with members and stakeholders.
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing tools (desirable).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Qualifications

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Interest in events, marketing and the process industry sector.
  • No prior experience required – full training provided.
