MEET THE TEAM > Chioma Udeozor

Chioma leads the Innovate UK project for Circular Economy at NEPIC. Her work focuses on assessing the economic, environmental and supply chain implications of sustainable ethylene production within the Teesside industrial cluster. Chioma works in collaboration with academics and industry partners to identify infrastructures, process streams and relevant technologies that could be integrated into the cluster for waste valorisation. The outcomes of this project are expected to foster a circular chemical economy in Teesside and provide an evidence-based roadmap for the decarbonisation of the cluster.

Before joining NEPIC, Chioma worked on an EU H2020 project on immersive technologies for chemical engineering training. She gained a PhD in chemical engineering at Newcastle University and a master’s degree in operations and supply chain management from the University of Liverpool. Chioma is a member of the board of the Early Career Section of the European Federation of Chemical Engineers. She is also a member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers (IChemE). Chioma’s interests include sustainable manufacturing, circular economy, digitalisation and industry 4.0.

If you want to have a chat about NEPIC, the Teesside circular economy project or related topics, feel free to contact me via email Monday to Friday.
