Read more >Working through winter and the health restrictions, as Principal Contractor on a £70M plant upgrade, Addison have just achieved a significant safety milestone, reaching 50,000 hours without a single lost time incident (LTI), 1st Aid requirement or reportable HSE accident or RIDDOR case.
This covers time accumulated by Addison & our contracting partners, Tolent, Harry Peers Steelwork Ltd, Cavendish Northern Limited, Tanfield Brothers, Teesside Rigging and Lifting Ltd & KAEFER from September 2019 to July 2020.
This is a statistic to be proud of, especially taking into account it has involved major construction around existing live buildings on a Tier 1 COMAH site.
Safety is our absolute priority and the commitment to maintaining those standards on the project is a credit to all involved.
Everyone has promoted safe work habits and set a positive example, each and every day.
Congratulations were offered at a socially distanced celebration event, attended by over 90 people, including our Client’s management team, the Addison team and contractors.
A full hearty pie, peas and gravy also followed and was well received!
Over the past 10 months, we’ve never given Safety a day off, here’s to another 50,000 hours accident free!
