Teesside Integrated Manufacturing Group

The large scale process industry and its suppliers in the Tees Valley maintain links through this group which is currently chaired by Lucite International. All the major manufacturers from the Oil & Gas, Chemical and Steel sector are represented, as well as major service providers such as BOC, NWL.

The group is principally concerned with such issues as:

• Skills and Labour Availability
• Overhaul Co-ordination
• Engineering Project and Maintenance Workload
• Labour relations Issues
• Impact of Inward Investments
• Development of the long term strategy for the development of the Tees Valley Chemical and Steel Industries

It is currently working with the Department of Business Innovation and Skills on the future development of the UK engineering construction industry.

It has a dedicated secretariat who work with the members on their specific issues related to the above.
