Activities

STEM Ambassadors

STEM Ambassadors are involved in a wide range of activities with schools and there are no limits on the age range or the type of activities they can get involved with. Suggestions for activities can come from Ambassadors themselves, from schools, or even from the STEM Ambassadors Contract Holder. Typical activities might include:

  • Giving a half hour careers talk
  • Running an activity as part of an After Schools Club
  • Judging at a science or engineering competition
  • Running a business challenge
  • Being a mentor or expert for an engineering project
  • Sitting on a panel for mock job interviews
  • Helping out with a school’s science festival

the possibilities are endless ...

STEMNET, who coordinate the scheme nationally, are in the process of building an interactive forum where Ambassadors can share ideas, resources and network. When this is online, we will post a direct link from here.
