Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology Sector - Opportunities & Developments in the North East
Tuesday 5th October from 13:30
The Stadium of Light, Sunderland
Audience: NEPIC Members & Invited Guests

North East England has a strong Pharma Manufacturing Industry at the moment but even in this successful sector the need to anticipate and exploit trends remains a high priority. To help the industry understand issues and share ideas and responses to these pressures, NEPIC and the ISPE have worked with CPI  to run a focussed  seminar looking at two important issues – industry skills and the impact of biotechnology.

Starting with an overview of current support from ONE North East to meet the industry pressures,  presentations from such as MSD, Newcastle Universities Biopharmaceutical and Bioprocessing Technology Centre and Nzomics will showcase some of the progress already being made to make the region a Bioprocessing centre.  A separate strand will allow you also to explore the ways in which your workforces can be up skilled to meet the new technology challenges.  The event concludes with the recent very successful experiences of GSK at Barnard Castle in implementing a Biologics process.

This is a unique local opportunity to make contact with your opposite numbers across the region, share good practice and get some new ideas. To book your delegate or exhibitor places, please contact Lynne Aungiers via: lynne.aungiers@nepic.co.uk

Predictable Project Outcomes from Collaborative Project Management - A NEPIC/ECI  follow up event from the'Project Productivity after the Gibson Review' Conference
Thursday 21st October, 2010, 08.30-17.00
The Northern Echo Arena, Darlington FC
Audience: NEPIC Members & Invited Guests

This event is an industry requested follow on from the NEPIC conference, 'Project Productivity after the Gibson Review', held in March this year, which focused on the Government sponsored 'Gibson Report' and the need to address productivity issues in the UK Construction Industry.

There is a universal recognition that if as a region we are to continue to attract inward and UK investment we must be able to demonstrate our capability to deliver the desired predictable project outcomes. The aim of this workshop event will be to learn or re-discover techniques and methods which can lead to successful projects.

To register for this event, please click here to download the registration form, which can be returned by email to lynne.aungiers@nepic.co.uk or by fax to 01642 442 561. For general enquiries or more information, please call NEPIC on Tel: 01642 442560.
