Meeting Members' Needs

Companies in the region have built NEPIC to help them coordinate and network with each other. They do this through the many networking events and the inter-company communication they have established, such as this web site and their own FOCALPOINT Newsletters (PDFs of these can be obtained under the FOCALPOINT above.) These mechanisms enable them to understand each others capabilities while allowing substantial personal contacts and relationships to built thereby forming a powerful supportive industrial community. NEPIC is also supporting its members by providing programs and activities, budgeted at £2m, through the leveraging resources from both private and public sectors. These activities are all industry led and are all aimed at ensuring sustainability and growth for this industrial sector.

Leadership of NEPIC comes from executives from Process Industry companies with facilities in the North East of England. As well as providing knowledge of their sectors and industrial perspective, the combined intelligence of these individuals sets the Cluster's agenda, priorities and drives it's the programs. 50 or so of these executives are personally involved in development activities of the Cluster using their combined industrial clout to secure the resources needed to deliver the programs and projects of strategic importance to Cluster companies. These programs and projects can be seen on the Programmes tab above.
